the 1970's TV reception either through a pair of antenna's located on
top of the TV or an aerial antenna attached to people's homes or on the
roof. people had no idea what cable TV was or what its impact would
be later. Television was completely different than it is today's world,
where you can have up to five hundred channels or more. In the 70s
television was in black and white, also they had poor reception and only
three or five channels.

In the 1980s people didn't have fancy cell phones to send messages to each other, they instead either called them through a brick phone or just have to send a letter or note to the family or friends house. The brick phone wasn't the greatest device, it allowed you to talk on the phone but it had terrible reception in which you can barely hear the person on the other line. The phone was a foot long and weighted approximately two pounds. Society wasn't so pleased with the phone so they knew this form of communication needed to upgrade.
